I tried to subit a ban appeal but for some reason it said my username was incorrect.

Make sure you type it right, no special characters or anything. Just Yeti1o1 (assuming that's your in-game name) should work fine!

It still said my username is invalid. I checked the username of the admin that banned me and my in game and discord username. I don't know what the problem is.

Maybe the staff member that banned me left the server? it was over a year ago I believe.

If it’s in the discord section, you have to do it with example#1234 for it to be valid
